Josh Stanley is the Director of New Business Development of CW Hemp, a leading global social enterprise company that creates plant-based health and wellness solutions. Josh and his six brothers are pioneers in non-psychoactive cannabis industry for developing proprietary hemp genetics with low Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and high Cannabidiol (CBD) that became the foundation of their Charlotte’s Web products.
Charlotte’s Web is named for little Charlotte Figi, whose remarkable story with the brothers was featured by CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta and received global recognition. According to the Brightfield study “The Hemp CBD Market Will Be A $1 Billion Industry By 2020,” this was the catalyst for the industry in which CW Hemp is the leader.
Charlotte’s Web has various health applications and contains a full-spectrum of plant compounds that support life-essential biological processes and the endocannabinoid system.
To further CW Hemp’s mission to improve the quality for others, the brothers also support various non-profits to advance cannabinoid science and research and also, to assist those in need of support.
Previous to CW Hemp, Josh worked in the medical cannabis industry for over eight years and opened one of the first medical marijuana dispensaries in Denver, Colorado. Also, he formed Colorado’s first medical political action committee, Medical Marijuana Industry Group, drafting the first House Bill 1284. He was also responsible for writing the research and development portion of House Bill 1043. In addition to this, Josh sat on the regulations boards for the Colorado Department of Revenue’s Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division and Research and Development.
In his free time, Josh likes to surf, travel, and spend time with his son.
