Potential GDPR Breach
United Patients Alliance respect the privacy of our supporters' personal information, however we have become aware that there has been a personal data breach in the last few days. Some members and supporters may have received an unsolicited marketing email from a new medical cannabis organisation.
We would like to apologise to those affected. UPA take privacy issues very seriously and are in discussion with the Information Commissioner’s Office about resolving this as soon as possible, as well as implementing additional safeguarding measures to ensure that only active team members have authorisation to access patient data.
The UPA is GDPR compliant. If you would like to discuss this matter further please contact us. If you feel you may have been affected, you are able to get in touch with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
